Accountant - Government Contractor

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team as a Government Contractor. The ideal candidate will manage financial records, ensure compliance with government regulations, and play a key role in supporting the financial operations of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee financial records for government contracts
Prepare and process payroll for employees working on government projects
Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger
Prepare invoices and ensure timely billing to clients
Handle accounts payable and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation as required
Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial accuracy and reporting

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably with government contracts
Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint and related software
Strong understanding of payroll processing and regulations
Experience with invoicing and accounts payable processes
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with stakeholders
