Estimator
Position Overview:
We are looking for an Estimator to join our team and help prepare accurate estimates for federal government contracts. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of bidding, take-offs, estimating/costing, and proposals/contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and review all project requirements for the purpose of establishing an accurate estimation of costs and time
Develop take-offs and cost estimates for the projects that adhere to best practices and industry standards
Prepare documents such as bid proposals, cost/labor estimates, and schedules
Review all contracts and confirm the accuracy of estimates
Coordinate with sub-contractors and suppliers to secure bids and delivery of materials
Monitor the progress of projects and update estimates accordingly
Work closely with project management and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Accounting or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in estimating and bidding for federal government contracts
