About the Job:
Our exciting and fast-paced Downtown Oakland law firm is looking for a Litigation Secretary to provide administrative and legal support to a senior partner.
This essential, highly responsible, and accountable position requires the individual to work independently, anticipate needs, be tenacious, resourceful, and demonstrate professionalism. The successful candidate must deliver excellent work and superior service. The candidate must also possess the ability to remain calm in stressful situations, communicate effectively, and be flexible as demands and priorities change.
Responsibilities:
Provide executive level assistance and support to the senior partner
Draft and finalize legal documents such as pleadings, discovery, and motions
Accurate and professional calendar management
Manage incoming calls
Assemble binders for mediation, depositions, etc.
Oversee, coordinate, and book travel
Other miscellaneous duties, as assigned
Schedule and coordinate meetings and video conference calls
Desired Qualifications:
3+ years legal experience supporting senior partners
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Tech savvy and resourceful
Adaptable to fast paced work environment
Multitaskers with time management and prioritization skills
Ability to lift and move 35 lbs.
