We are a leading manufacturer of high-performance thermoplastic corrugated pipe, providing a comprehensive suite of water management products and drainage solutions. We are seeking a highly-skilled, team-oriented project engineer to join our growing company. In this position, project engineers oversee all engineering and technical aspects of our projects to assure the highest level of accuracy and quality. Project engineers prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects, complying with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
Project Engineers are the technical support for our machine shops. Also, they need to work closely with the plant manufacturing teams to determine equipment needs and develop equipment specifications based on those needs. Moreover, they provide the necessary project documentation and training to support the equipment installation and operation. Project Engineers also work with the manufacturing teams on support continuous improvement activities.
- Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements including scope, planning and execution.
- Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing bids from vendors.
-Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
- Maintains quality control in every area (budget, scheduling, planning, personnel performance, team dynamics).
- Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
- Investigates and presents quote packages to vendors and monitor RFQ process.
- Oversees Project Budgeting & Equipment Purchases.
- 2+ Years of Project Engineering / MFG Engineering
- Project Management + Solidworks experience
- Experience with equipment install and operations (Mechanical Aptitude / Background)
- Lean / Six Sigma knowledge (bonus)
- Plastics - Extrusion, Injection Molding, Blow Molding (bonus)
