Position Overview:
The Project Controls Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the successful execution of projects within the power generation and construction industry. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all project controls processes and procedures are followed, as well as utilizing their skills in Oracle Primavera P6, quality management, and engineering to support project planning, scheduling, and cost control efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements
- Assist in the development and implementation of project controls processes and procedures
- Monitor project progress and cost performance, identifying any potential issues and recommending corrective actions
- Conduct quality reviews and audits to ensure compliance with project controls standards
- Collaborate with project teams to forecast and track project costs, providing regular updates and analysis to stakeholders
- Participate in risk assessments and develop risk management plans to mitigate project risks
- Support the development of project budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgets
- Communicate project controls information to project teams, management, and clients, ensuring alignment and understanding of project performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project controls within the power generation or construction industry
- Proficient in Oracle Primavera P6 and other project management tools- Strong understanding of quality management principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of power generation and construction processes and procedures is preferred.
