Title: R&D Sourcing Specialist - Food Manufacturing
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Salary: $65,000-$105,000/Year + Benefits & Bonus Structure

What You Will Be Doing
The R&D Sourcing Specialist is responsible for conducting strategic sourcing activities to support the organization's objectives for value-driven vendor partnerships. This role focuses on risk management, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in sourcing materials necessary for R&D projects. The Specialist will participate in supplier negotiations and contract preparation while coordinating with internal stakeholders to define material and quality requirements. This position is crucial in supporting vendor partnerships and monitoring their performance through established KPIs and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct strategic sourcing activities to align with the organization's objectives, emphasizing value-driven vendor partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clearly define material and quality requirements and standards.
- Support vendor partnerships by monitoring performance against established KPIs, goals, and scorecards to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness.
- Integrate new sources, methods, and vendors to maintain a reliable supply of materials critical to R&D initiatives.
- Utilize ERP systems and other software tools to manage sourcing processes, create item specifications, and for approved materials.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management on sourcing performance and market trends.
What You Need for this Position
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management preferred, Business Administration, or R&D in food manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing and vendor management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market intelligence and make data-driven decisions.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and sourcing software tools to streamline processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
