Founded in the early 2000s, we are a small aerospace engineering company that designs, manufactures, and integrates technologies for the defense and aerospace industries. Our products include avionics, batteries, and satellite communication systems.
We are seeking highly skilled Junior - Senior level Electrical Engineers to join our aerospace team, specializing in the design and development of systems for satellite applications. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in electronics and systems engineering to drive innovative solutions that meet the critical demands of the aerospace industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Li-Ion battery systems for satellite applications.
- Conduct electronics design, including simulation and modeling for performance optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate embedded software with hardware systems.
- Oversee all phases of engineering development, from concept to production.
- Create detailed PCB layouts and designs using Eagle and/or Altium.
- Perform electronics design simulation and modeling for various circuits and systems.
- Utilize Solid Works for creating electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Provide expertise in avionics and power systems to ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
- Develop firmware and unit designs for embedded systems, including microcontrollers and FPGAs.
- Test and validate designs through space environmental testing, including vibration, shock, thermal cycling, and EMI assessments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in aerospace applications.
- Proficient in Electronics Design, Embedded Software Engineering, and Systems Engineering.
- Experience with PCB Layout and Design using Eagle and/or Altium.
- Strong background in Electronics Design Simulation and Modeling.
- Familiarity with Solid Works for electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Expertise in avionics and power systems, particularly for satellite applications.
- Knowledge of communication protocols including CAN, RS-232/422/485, Ethernet, and 1553.
- Experience with embedded systems, FPGA, and microcontroller programming.
- Ability to conduct space environmental testing and understand CDRLs in aerospace engineering.
