Staff Accountant

We are a well established Music and Entertainment focused business management firm based in Nashville. The firm has grown 20+% in the last 2 years and is actively looking to add an experienced Staff Accountant to our growing team. 

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of full cycle accounting experience with multiple clients/entities, as well as a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. 

Music/Entertainment experience is a major plus but not required.

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will manage the full cycle of accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all financial regulations. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining our financial integrity and supporting the financial operations of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle accounting processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare necessary journal entries.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation and information.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing financial analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of full cycle accounting and general ledger processes working with multiple entities.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
