Tax Manager

Compensation - 160-220K base + 10% bonus 

Position Overview
The Tax Manager will oversee and manage the tax compliance and planning functions for our clients, ensuring all tax obligations are met accurately and efficiently. This role is crucial in providing tax advice and strategies to minimize tax liabilities and improve overall tax position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review tax compliance for individuals, estates, trusts, and businesses including 1040, 1041, 1120S, and 1065 forms.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize client tax situations.
  • Coordinate and prepare responses for tax audits and inquiries from regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor and interpret tax legislation changes and their implications for the firm and clients.
  • Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Prepare and present tax-related reports and recommendations to clients and management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax planning and compliance, with a focus on business and individual taxation.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations, particularly regarding estates, trusts, and various tax forms.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
