Overview: The Tax Senior will provide tax services and advice to diverse clients. This individual will work closely with clients to ensure compliance with tax regulations, identify potential tax savings, and provide guidance on tax planning strategies. The Tax Senior will also supervise and coordinate the work of junior tax professionals and will be responsible for delivering high-quality work-product within tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review tax returns for individual, S Corporations, Partnerships, C Corporations, High-Net-Worth Individuals, Trusts and Estates
- Conduct tax research and analysis to identify tax issues and provide effective solutions
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and serving as a trusted advisor- Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients to minimize tax liability and optimize financial outcomes
- Supervise and coordinate the work of junior tax professionals, providing guidance and support as needed- Monitor and ensure compliance with tax deadlines and regulations
- Manage tax budgets and work to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness of tax services
- Ensure high-quality work-product is delivered to clients, adhering to company standards and industry best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and planning- CPA designation or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred
- Extensive knowledge of tax regulations and laws for individual and business entities
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates
- Strong understanding of complex tax accounting and research methodologies
- Ability to supervise and mentor junior tax professionals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work-product.
